Why you laughin'?!

I’ve got a little imagination exercise for you.

C’mon, courageous one.

Take a deep breath, close your (mental) eyes and picture yourself giggling.

It's a small giggle. Just a tiny chuckle.

Now picture it growing. Bigger and deeper until you’re almost at a snort. Your shoulders are bouncing and you can’t control it any longer. Keeping your lips closed is impossible and now you’re giving in to the giant smile spread across your face.

All of a sudden you find yourself in a full blown laugh. It may actually be considered a roar at this point. Mouth open, head back, tears flowing. Your stomach’s on fire and you can’t help rolling from side to side but you don’t even care because there’s so much joy.

You can’t control it and for a moment, it feels like the whole earth melted away. Heaven.

You know why you're laughing?

Because you aren't worried. Not about now, not about tomorrow.

There's no fear over how it's gonna work out or what is gonna happen or how you'll be taken care of. You know -- like you know you need air to breathe -- that you can look ahead, or look at that situation, and giggle quietly like, “I know who my Daddy is!”

That belly laugh is real. Because you know there isn't a thing that can come your way that won't work in your favor. You've learned that even the ugly stuff you'll be able to walk through and come out the other side of. You know that without a doubt, it’s the abundant life in store for you.

Keep laughin', girl. You have every reason to.
