A shift in expectations

Your next and better season is on the other side of an expectation-shift!

You’ve been living in disappointment because your reality isn’t lining up with the expectations you’ve set for others and even yourself. It’s time to release the expectations of what you believe other people should be, do, and think, and in some cases, release yourself from those same things.

Did you know that words like confidence, hope, possibility, promise, and trust are synonyms for the word expectation?

You have put your confidence, hope, and trust in some people that shouldn’t have it, and it’s time to let it go. It’s time to loosen your grip and begin to expect from God alone.

This is not about lowering the bar in your relationships. There is a difference. This is a release of what you expect others to be for you so that you can ultimately walk in greater freedom.

When you can stop expecting the people in your life to lead, love, think, respond, and behave in the way you’ve determined they should, you are free to focus on your own journey and advancement. And when you do, your worth, your mood, and your own personal growth will no longer rise and fall with how others behave toward you.

“𝘔𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭, 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘏𝘪𝘮.” 𝘗𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘮 62:5

It’s time to increase your expectations of God alone! Expect Him to show up, to speak, to move. Expect new depth. Expect fresh revelation. Expect fulfilled promises. Expect favor and upgrades. Expect an increase in faith. Expect Him to come through. Expect to see Him in a way you never have before. Expect that He can take absolutely anything and turn it around for your good.

That expectation will not return void. Your hope in Him will not disappoint. He doesn’t lose, He doesn’t fail, and He doesn’t mess up. Even more, you’ll never find another who can love you so well.

“𝘖 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦...” 𝘗𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘮 71:5

“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵...” 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘴 5:5
